Q: How does the process work?
A: After you place your order and submit the order form:
We design and deliver 5 unique ebook cover concepts.
You choose one concept and can request revisions until you’re satisfied.
We deliver your finalized ebook cover.
When your book is formatted, send us the print details, and we’ll provide your paperback and hardback covers.
Q: Are there any additional costs?
A: Only if you choose to use paid stock images. We also offer a free option that uses only free stock images. If paid stock images are selected, we’ll send you the links and pricing for approval before use.
Q: Can I keep all five cover designs?
A: No. The package includes one cover selected from five concepts. Additional concepts may be purchased for an extra fee.
Q: What happens after I choose my cover?
A: We’ll send you the final ebook cover right away. Print covers (paperback and hardback) will be created once your book is fully formatted, since trim size, page count, and spine width depend on your interior file.
Q: What details do you need for the print covers?
A: We’ll need the following once your book is formatted:
Trim size (paperback & hardback)
Final page count
Interior type (black & white or color)
Paper color (cream or white — we recommend cream)
Back cover blurb
ISBNs for paperback and hardback (separate from Amazon’s ISBN if you’re using IngramSpark)
Note: IngramSpark requires its own ISBNs and does not accept Amazon-assigned ISBNs.
Q: What if I don’t need all the covers in the package?
A: All covers listed are included. The package price is fixed and does not change if you choose not to use certain formats (e.g., IngramSpark or ACX).
Q: How long does it take to get my covers?
A: You’ll receive your 5 initial ebook concepts within 7 business days. After your book is formatted and you provide final details, we’ll deliver your print covers within 3 business days.
Q: Can I request revisions after choosing my cover?
A: Yes. You can request revisions on your chosen concept until you are satisfied. After final approval, further changes may incur additional costs.
Q: What if I change my mind after finalizing my cover?
A: Once you approve your cover, your choice is final. However, we archive unused concepts. You may purchase a different concept later if you wish.

Q: Are there legal terms I should know?
A: Yes.
Work begins as soon as your order is processed, so all sales are final.
Significant changes after more than 20% of work is complete may require additional fees and extend timelines.
You are responsible for providing accurate print specs (trim size, page count, spine width, etc.). We are not liable for errors caused by incorrect information or printer restrictions.
You own the rights to your approved final design after full payment. Unused concepts remain the property of The Publishing Edge but may be purchased separately.
